The Practice Staff

Office Manager

Mrs Adine Hunt looks after the organisation and day-to-day running of the practice.

If you are concerned about any aspect of the care you receive in the practice or have any comments or suggestions, she will be happy to speak to you.

Nurse Practitioner

Our nurse practitioner, Desdra Sarchet, is a registered general nurse (RGN) with over a decade's experience working in general practice.

Desdra is a qualified prescribing nurse and is able to prescribe for a wide range of medical problems.

Desdra has completed her BSc (Hons) Nurse Practitioner Degree in Primary Health Care and has also undertaken additional training in asthma, diabetes, heart disease, implant/coil fitting, family planning and sexual health care.

Practice Nurses

Sue Walker has worked at the surgery for 13 years and specialises in children's vaccinations, travel clinic and diabetes. She also provides mentorship for student nurses.

Dawn Smith, a very experienced nurse who was a deputy manager in one of the medical wards at Southend General Hospital and has experience in dealing with COPD.

Denise Obamwonyi is a very experienced nurse who has been working at the hospital in the renal unit. She runs our smoking cessation clinic.

The nurses are assisted by Jessie Scroxton, our associate practitioner, and Carol Freeman, our healthcare assistant/phlebotomist.

If you would like to speak to a clinician please telephone the surgery. The receptionist will take note of your name and telephone number and we will call you back as soon as possible.

Receptionists

Linda Tyzack, Wendy Kemp, Christine Hudson, Evelyn Richardson and Pauline Kelly have many years of experience between them and will assist you with appointments, prescription requests, test results and home visits.

Admin Staff

Vanessa Watkins, our secretary and Darren Boswell, our admin assistant, complete the team of staff at Rochford Medical Practice.

District/Long-Term Condition Nurses

The district nursing team and the long-term condition nursing team are based at Hockley Clinic. Access to these nurses is via a referral from the doctors or nurses at the surgery.
